Why Updating Your Details Shouldn’t Feel Like a Full-Time Job

And how a Kiwi startup is flipping the system on its head

Let’s be honest. Moving house, switching phone numbers, or changing your home address is already stressful enough — but then you remember you still have to update every single service provider you’ve ever dealt with. Power company. Bank. Gym. Insurance. Charity. Church. Voter registry. The list goes on.

You open one tab after another. You’re navigating outdated websites, verifying your identity five different ways, waiting on hold, stuck in chatbots. It’s the digital equivalent of waiting in line at five post offices at once.

We’re Kiwis — we value our time. We’d rather be out enjoying the weekend, not wrangling logins and customer support.

That’s why we created Quickmove.

A modern solution to an outdated problem

We’re a New Zealand-founded tech startup on a mission to make your life easier. Quickmove is a secure, user-first platform that allows you to update your personal data details — like a new address, phone number, email, gender and name across multiple service providers at once.

It’s like pushing one button and letting the system do the legwork.

Just select who you want to notify, enter your updated details once, and hit go. We take care of the rest, following each provider’s process securely, accurately, and efficiently.

We couldn’t believe this didn’t already exist

When we first floated the idea to friends and family, the response was the same:

“Wait — how does this not already exist in New Zealand?”

We wondered the same thing.

In 2024, we can stream films in 4K, book flights in seconds, even pay for coffee with our watch. But when it comes to updating our information, we’re still stuck in the past and no one seems to be fixing it.

So we did.

More than just address updates

Quickmove isn’t just for when you move house.
We’re here for:

  • Name changes after marriage or divorce

  • Phone number or email changes

  • Helping the elderly or non-digital-savvy family members

  • Students moving into flats

  • People living remotely

  • Anyone who values their time

We built this for Kiwis from the ground up.

Privacy isn’t a side note. It’s the foundation

One of the first questions we always get is: “But is it safe?”

Absolutely.

We treat your information with the same care as a bank would.

Quickmove is designed with bank-grade encryption, follows strict data handling policies, and we’re working towards internationally recognised certifications like ISO 27001. You control who gets your data, when, and why. We never sell or misuse your details, ever.

We're just getting started

Quickmove is already live and helping people simplify their lives. But we’re also building something bigger, a more connected, time-saving, secure digital ecosystem for all New Zealanders.

Our vision? To be the Australasian leader in user-controlled data change.
To give Kiwis their time back, and maybe their sanity too.

Join the movement

If you’ve ever sighed at the thought of updating your details, Quickmove was built for you.
